In 1890, Zhang Zhidong, governor of Huguang in the late Qing Dynasty, founded Hanyeping Coal and Iron Factory and Mine Co., LTD.
In 1913, Hanyeping company officially decided to prepare for the construction of "Daye new Factory" at the first general meeting of shareholders.
In 1916, the board of directors of Hanyeping Company awarded the "Seal of Daye Iron and Steel Plant of Hanyeping Coal and Iron Factory and Mine Co., LTD." to daye new plant, daye iron and Steel plant officially named.
In 1924, The Hanyeping Company merged daye iron and steel works and Daye iron ore into one organization, named "Daye Factory and Mine".
In 1938, the National Resources Committee ordered the factory and mining equipment belonging to Hanyeping Company to be shipped to Chongqing to build a new factory. In October of the same year, Han Yeping company daye factory and mine fell, the Japanese army set up "Daye mining institute".
In 1945, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Nationalist Government took over the Daye Mining Institute of Nippon Steel Co., Ltd. and established the "Nippon Steel Deposit Office".
In 1948, "Resources Committee Central China Iron and Steel Co., LTD." was established, and All the assets of Hanyeping Company were taken over by Huashan Iron and Steel Co., LTD., so far, Hanyeping Company was officially abolished.
In 1949, the Wuhan Military Control Commission of the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission took over "Lao Hua Steel" and officially named it as "Central China Iron and Steel Company of central China Provisional People's Government".
In 1950, the Central Ministry of Heavy Industry ordered the special steel workshop of Dalian Steel Plant to be moved to Huashan Iron and Steel Co., LTD., and added some additional equipment to transform huashan Steel plant into a special steel plant.
In 1953, the former Central China Iron and Steel Company was ordered to change its name to Daye Steel. The full name of the factory is "Daye Steel Factory of Central China Iron and Steel Company, Bureau of Iron and Steel Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industry, Central People's Government".
In 1994, Daye Steel Was restructured into a company and "Daye Special Steel Co.,Ltd" was established.
In 1995, "Metallurgical Steel Group Co., LTD." was inaugurated.
In 1997, Daye Special Steel Co.,LtdA shares were listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
In 2000, Oriental Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. merged into Metallurgical Steel Group Co., LTD.
In 2004, Hubei Xinye Steel Co.,Ltd., invested and held by Citic Pacific Hong Kong, was established and became a member of citic family through Hubei Xinye Steel Holding Daye Special Steel Co.,Ltd.
In 2006, Hubei Zhongtexin Chemical Energy Technology Co., LTD was established
In 2007, Hubei Xinye Steel Special steel Pipe Co., LTD was established.
In 2019, Hubei Xinye Steel Special Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. was renamed Daye Special Steel Co., LTD., keeping the "century-old brand" of Daye Special Steel. In the same year, Daye Special Steel Co.,Ltd implemented major asset reorganization and was renamed citic Pacific Special Steel Group Co.,Ltd.
In 2020, Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd. undertook the operating assets of Daye Special Steel Co.,Ltd.
